Here is a list of emergency items to consider:

  • Water – one gallon per person /day ( have at least a 3-day supply)
  • Food – Nonperishable ( at least a 3-day supply)
  • Blankets, sleeping bags.
  • Clothing – change of clothes and underwear
  • First Aid kit
  • Flashlights and extra batteries
  • Medications – have a seven-day supply.
  • Cash – small bills.
  • Radio – battery-powered or hand crank
  • Hygiene supplies
  • Copies of important documents
  • Tools- multi-purpose knife
  • Glasses
  • Hearing aids if used.

**Other special considerations include pets and their supplies, baby supplies

Check emergency items at least annually if not more frequently.
