Here is a list of emergency items to consider:
- Water – one gallon per person /day ( have at least a 3-day supply)
- Food – Nonperishable ( at least a 3-day supply)
- Blankets, sleeping bags.
- Clothing – change of clothes and underwear
- First Aid kit
- Flashlights and extra batteries
- Medications – have a seven-day supply.
- Cash – small bills.
- Radio – battery-powered or hand crank
- Hygiene supplies
- Copies of important documents
- Tools- multi-purpose knife
- Glasses
- Hearing aids if used.
**Other special considerations include pets and their supplies, baby supplies
Check emergency items at least annually if not more frequently.
