The Area Office on Aging is an organization designated in each state in the United States to address the needs and concerns of older persons at the regional and local levels. The goal for the State of Hawaii is the coordination of services for elders to enable independent living. There are separate offices for each island in Hawaii.

If so, Veterans Community Services provides home and community-based services to Veterans who require services to maintain them at home.
