Have you heard of Blue Zones?

The Blue Zone concept was introduced by Mr. Dan Buettner, a National Geographic explorer. He identified regions of the world where people live significantly longer and healthier lives, often reaching age one hundred at rates far higher than average.

There are five Blue Zones identified in the world:

  • Okinawa, Japan
  • Sardinia, Italy
  • Nicoya Peninsula, Costa Rica
  • Ikaria Greece
  • Loma Linda, CA, USA
